trying to make a graph in ft and it will not change from mm

When I am making a graph. I put the measurements that I need it to be in the top. I changed it to ft instead of mm but the graph itself will not change. How do I apply these changes

The default page unit can be set in File>Document Properties (Shift+Ctrl+D), Page tab.
