Can't close the Object from the Menu or the Keyword

I don't see any solution shown in the earlier discussion. It's ridiculous that there is no remedy for the problem. I can't use Inkscape if this is insoluable.

Hi,

You can close a path with the node tool, by selecting the endnodes and using the Join selected nodes icon in the Node tool option bar, or by closing it manually with the pen or pencil tool.

But no, there's no auto close command in the menus, because nobody requested it before (I can't find anything related in the RFEs). If you really need this feature, please add a report in the bug section of Lauchpad.
