@Bertrand - I think you misunderstood my comment - I cannot confirm the 'half-way' fix: there is *no* indication that the SVG file is inserted as *raster* image. To me this looks fixed both in 0.47pre4 and in a current build from SVN (r22575) on OS X 10.5.8.
Missing feature is a graphical interface to create these kind of image links (besides the XML editor).
