Well, the goal of the patch was not to close the report, but act as a temporary workaround until the whole dialog is correctly redesigned. I first supposed that the Y scale was completely unnecessary because it's always disabled (or at least I never saw it enabled), but apparently it's not that easy.

If no consensus can be reached about it, I suggest we just forget the patch and focus on the original report instead.
