Update the sticky notes based on config file

Asked by Quan Tran

I know that the data is stored in ~/.config/indicator-stickynotes, and the file can be used to transfer settings/notes to different machines (or stuff like that). I tried changing the file, expecting the changes would show up on the sticky notes, but they didn't.

Is there a way to make make the notes update based on the changes in the config file? If that becomes possible, we can synchronize sticky notes between machines, even come up with ways to change the notes from other types of devices like phones, etc.

Thanks!

This is something I've thought about, but it would take some work to handle issues of conflicts and overwriting. I am tight for time and don't want to write this myself, but I can look at patches that attempt to address this issue. Thanks for your question

@umang: I didn't realize this was an open source project. I can try looking at the code and work something out myself. Thanks for the reply!
