start Empathy with selecting status?

if there was an option to have only one standard IM, would it be possible to start that IM with selecting a status in indicator-applet-session?

Why not to control "whatever" IM program from the status?
but, obviously. just the default; If you want to do this you must have an Default Im Program option on Favorite Applications.

For example: I want Emesene like my default IM app, but I wish a integration with emesene and the status/power button. Just select like my favorite IM app on Favorite Applications and voilá!
