indicator-remindor on Xenial (16.04)

Asked by Najmi

Hi,

I just upgraded my Ubuntu 15.10 to 16.04 and found out that indicator-remindor was removed automatically.

Is there a way I could use the previous debian file (I could install them manually and no dependencies issue).

You should be able to install the ppa, just change it to say "wily" rather than "xenial".

Hi Brian,
how is the right call for changing install ppa to e.g. wily ?

PS The right "call" would be: in /etc/apt/sources.list.d to change the call in bhdouglass-ubuntu-indicator-remindor-xenial.list : "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/bhdouglass/indicator-remindor/ubuntu xenial" to "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/bhdouglass/indicator-remindor/ubuntu wily", but dont waste your time, it wont start

It actually starts here, that's just a warning.
