Removing System Load Indicator Extension

Asked by David Nagy

How do I remove this extension completely? When I reboot or restart GNOME (ALT-F2, 'R'), it is in my top bar. I do not see it in the extensions list when I view these in a browser nor do I find a clearly named 'indiacator-multiload' or 'system-load-indicator' in either .local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/ or /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions.

Thanks!

it seems that you wrongly assume that it is a gnome extension, but in reality it is a standalone program.

Which operating system are you running?
How did you install indicator-multiload?

If you are running Ubuntu, then you can simply uninstall the related package.
sudo apt purge indicator-multiload
