System Load Indicator

show numbers on the panel bar instead of graphs?

I would like to see numbers and/or percentages on the panel bar instead of the graphs that show up. Is this possible?

Hi alex,

This is possible (just use your scroll wheel on the indicator to see some examples). This can be configured in preferences->indicator items.

That said, it does not work as good as it should. Because of a long-standing bug in the appindicators, changes in the length of the text displayed will make the icons shift around. This is something that can be fixed I think (such as always showing numbers in a fixed format such as 0,00MB), but this hasn't been implemented.

The relevant bug reports are lp:848794 and lp:1348961
