LTE Uplink: HARQ effective SINR calculation?

Asked by SINR2015

As far as I know, EESM / MIESM can not be used in uplink.

I find the formula of MMSE. However, I don't know how to use it to calculate effective SINR of chase combing or incremental redundancy.

Does anyone know how to calculate the effective SINR of CC & IR in LTE uplink?

Thank you very much!

Thank you Maciej :-)

I think, MMSE described in R1-051352 seems to be a general calculation, not specific for CC and IR.

It gives you the effective SINR. We assume the HARQ model only depends on the eff SINR of reach (re)transmission (and for the chosen RV if IR is used, but this is not implemented).

Assume: LTE Uplink, use CC to transfer 1000 bits

I want to calculate
the effective SINR after 1st transmit,
the effective SINR after 2nd transmit,
the effective SINR after 3rd transmit
......

MMSE described in R1-051352 can only calculate the effective SINR after 1st transmit, I think.

This is a support board for IMTAPhy related questions. I guess there are better places, like ResearchGate, to ask general questions.

I will ask in ResearchGate.

Thank you!
