GT-600 support for clear?

Asked by timmay on 2010-01-21

Reopening again.

I have the new GT-600 (basically a GT-200 with a motion detector), and I can do everything except clear the memory of the device.

The clear command fails with this error:
C:\igotu2gpx-0.3.0\bin>igotu2gpx.exe -d serial:6 clear
Clearing memory...
Unable to clear memory of GPS tracker: GT-200e: Unable to clear memory of this G
PS tracker model. Instructions how to help with this can be found at https://ans
wers.launchpad.net/igotu2gpx/+faq/480.

Here is what it spits out for the info command:
C:\igotu2gpx-0.3.0\bin>igotu2gpx.exe -d serial:6 info
Downloading configuration...
Serial number: 264812
Firmware version: 5.16
Model: GT-200e
Number of points: 23870
Schedule date: Thursday, January 21, 2010
Schedule date offset: 0 day(s)
Schedule table: disabled
Log interval: 15 s
Interval change: disabled
LEDs: enabled
Button: disabled
Security version: 0
Password: disabled, []

And here is what it spits out for downloading the data (truncated):
C:\igotu2gpx-0.3.0\bin>igotu2gpx.exe -d serial:6 dump --gpx > test.gpx
Downloading tracks...
Downloaded block 0/188
Downloaded block 1/188
...

I guess the devices are similar except in regards to clearing the memory?

This question was expired because it remained in the 'Open' state without activity for the last 15 days.

Issue is still happening, trying to reopen the issue from an expired status.

Changing the question back to unanswered.

Hi, timmay, thanks for asking, and sorry for the late reply.

This is a known problem, as I haven't got around to implement purge support for the GT200e.

if you would like to help, you could follow the instructions at https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/igotu2gpx/+faq/480 and attach the generated files to https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/igotu2gpx/+bug/444627.

You can help by following:
FAQ #480: “How can I help with adding support for an unknown i-gotU GPS tracker?”.

Can you help with this problem?
