igotu2gpx

Do you have to do anything special to get igotu2gpx to connect to the gps unit?

I connect the device to my laptop (OSX) using USB, start up igotu2gpx, and it says it's "Retrieving info...", then it just sits there forever, with both the red and blue LEDs showing on the device.

If I mess around with button on the device eventually something changes and igotu2gpx manages to get the info.

So, what is it that I'm doing to make it work? Is it a long click-and hold? Is it the short click? I can't find any logic to it.

Maybe someone could enlighten me, please.

Hmm, I've never seen this behaviour until now. Could you start igotugui
from the command line in verbose mode with the command line parameter
"-v" (open a command window and run sth. like
/Applications/igotu2gpx.app/Contents/MacOS/igotugui -v) and post the
output thats produced?

Would it be possible for you to test the release candidate of the new version (with purge support, localization, map view) at https://launchpad.net/igotu2gpx/0.3/0.2.91 to see whether identification/transfer/purge work?
