libboost_program_options version problem

Asked by Rob Simmons

I hesitate to put in this request as I actually use OpenSuse 13.2, not Ubuntu. I would love to be able to download the track data from my i-gotU GT-600 on to my linux machine and it seems igoto2gpx is the only option. I have worked out the dependencies and successfully installed version 0.3.0 from the source distribution. However, when I try to run it (or igotugui) I get the error message: error while loading shared libraries: libboost_program_options.so.1.39.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

The installed version of libboost_program_options on my computer is libboost_program_options1_54_0 and I cannot find a source for libboost_program_options1_39 now as this is so old. I wondered whether there was a solution to this problem and I would be grateful for any pointers.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

I did eventually find a source for libboost_program_options1_39. The latest version of OpenSuse for which it was listed was 12.1, however, it installed without problems.

Unfortunately, the message I now get, running igotugui, is:
QThread: Destroyed while thread is still running
Segmentation fault

Any suggestions please?

Well, progress of sorts. Without doing anything further, the error described above has disappeared. I am now faced with the problem "Unable to open device". As the situation has moved on, I don't think the original question is relevant, so I will close it. If I am unable to progress after further investigation I will raise another question. Thank you for your patience.
