igotu2gpx 0.3.0 on Windows XP fails to load configuration

Asked by myrtille

I downloaded the binary for Windows XP and have been trying to use it to extract data from a mobile action GT600 with it.

It automatically detects the device at serial3, even though XP only lists the device as "other device" and says additional software is needed to use it. When I try do download the tracks it says "Configuration could not be downloaded from GPS Tracker: Invalid answer package 130101".

Do I need to install the mobile action software before I am able to use igotu2gpx with my GT600?

I have been successfully using igotu2gpx on Ubuntu to extract data from the same device. S

Hmm, normally yes, but it is kind of interesting that it detects the logger without any software installed.

On Linux, we access the usb port directly, so no driver necessary, but on Windows the serial port installed by the Mobilaction driver is used.

Hi,

thanks. That's too bad. I was hoping to avoid the driver issue and have a somewhat portable app to use with the tracker.

Thanks for your quick reply!
