igotu2gpx install on Maverick with Gnome

Asked by Jonathan Rood

Hello,
I have been trying to install igotu2gpx onto Ubuntu Maverick running Gnome desktop.

There is an unresolved dependency for libmarble4.

I have installed the latest release of Marble and the Marble development packages, but from what I can see libmarble4 is no longer included.

Is this still available, or is there a patch for igotu2gpx which does not require libmarble4?

Regards,

Jonathan

I managed to track down the old version of marble (4:4.4.2 rather than 4:4.4.5) and found libmarble4 here:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/libmarble4
Removed previously installed version of marble.
Downloaded and installed libmarble4 package.
Installed igotu2gpx successfully.

Sorry - I meant 4:4.5.1 as the newer version.

Same thing here. The above seem not to be a nice solution.

The package is still maintained? I don't see any progress or versions working with any release more current than 1 year old.

What's the future of the project?

Btw: the app is a gui app? A working CLI would be enough for me and then there will not be any need for libmarble, right?
