using Hugin for raw YI 360 image

Asked by Eesger Toering

Hello,

Someone suggested Hugin for getting a better stitching result. I have tried it, but I am sorry to say I can't make heads or tails of it.

But I would really like to understand how to use this software..

Here is a raw unstitched image from my YI 360 camera:

http://geoarchief.nl/RFile_00333.jpg

The manual tells me this about the lens: JCD 6347(dual-lens) 220 degree, F2.0, 8 elements
and this about the sensor: Sony 2x12MP CMOS IMX377 1/2.3”

I have searched the internet but I can't seem to be able to get to something that starts to look like it's going somewhere. I would really like some help..

the previous example was a grab from an mp4, here is an image (it contains more EXIF data):

found out via: http://exif.regex.info/exif.cgi
Projection Type: equirectangular
Have seen that option in Hugin.. it helps (a bit)
