2015.0.0 fails to launch on Windows Vista 64bit

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Hugin 2015.0.0 several times using HuginSetup_2015.0.0_64bit.exe. Once the installation is complete (no errors reported), every time I attempt to launch Hugin I get a popup stating "The procedure entry point K32EnumProcessModules could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll" and then Windows looks (unsuccessfully) for a solution.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit, Service Pack 2, with all current updates.
I do have Visual Studio 2010 installed, if that might matter.

Is this a known issue with a fix? I tried searching on this launchpad site but got no hits.

The current workaround is Hugin 2014.0.0 64bit installs and runs OK.

Please test if 2016.2 beta1 works on Vista.
