shut down various OS :14.04, 14.10 etc

This problem is related to NFS client mounts.

One of the above 4 computers is the NFS server, the others are clients, they have unfettered access to the designated partitions on the NFS server. Two 1TB disks, each with two partitions, one of which is available to the clients, one partition contains files, the other on the second disk is for backups (automatic).

The above problem occurs when the server is shut down before the clients. The client shut down is held up by not being able to dismount the NFS partitions mounted at start up.

When clients are shut down before the server all works just fine.

The solution is relatively simple, on the clients make sure the server is up, if not then proceed with the dismount of theNFS partitions, over riding the need to be able to read/write these partitions which are no longer available.

Currently I make sure the clients are shut down first, just to avoid the nuisance of the problem.

I have no idea what scripts or programs need to be upgraded, I hope this comes to the attention of those who know NFS intimately and are in a position to make the changes required to resolve the above problem

Hugin is using the wxShutdown function from the wxWidgets library to get it working on different operating systems.
If there is a problem with shutdown it should be reported to wxWidgets and fixed there.
