Input and output not from images

Asked by ROli Hesse

Hi everyone,

I have a question: Is there a possibility to input images not from files, but from a database (or a memory stream and the same for the output (panorama image).

Thanks for your ideas and suggested solutions!

No, that is currently not possible. Hugin and enblend read and write all images to files.

During the stitching process a lot of intermediate files are created. Keeping them all in memory would not be very easy and would require a lot of available memory (RAM). This would only work for some smaller pano, but would fail for bigger one.
So this is currently not in the focus of development.

Thank you for your answer! So I will use a temporary directory for my software and clean it after the stitching.
Thanks!
