Hugin will not launch since apple updates

Asked by Brian M Frank

I use Hugin 11.4.0 and have had no problems until I did an update of my iMac recently. There were 5 updates:

iMovie 9.0.6
Airport 6.1
iTunes 10.6.3
iPhoto 9.3
Aperture 3.3

iPhoto we use all the time, iTunes occasionally, hope to use Aperture, not aware of the others. We have 31,000 photos in 12 annual libraries - these have not given problems in the past but who knows.

My wife and I are hobby artists and use Hugin for no frills panoramas.

Are you aware of compatibility issues? I have a MacBookPro which I have not updated - no problems! although that machine only has this years library in iPhoto.

I would appreciate your input

Which version of OSX are your running?
I assume you are running on 10.7 Lion. If so, read the "Readmefirst" document. Lion has a bug (really) that prevents the openmp enabled enblend version to run. The 2011.04 version dmg comes with an enblend which is compiled without openmp support.
That one runs on Lion (and on Tiger for which it was intendend and which doesn't have openmp support).

Can I ask Brian to have a look at the crash report (click on "Report" in the crash dialogue). I have a similar issue since the last update. It has definetly nothing to do with emblend in my case, as the program dies while trying to open the main window...

Can you help with this problem?
