Hugin batch system ?

Asked by Julien

Using Hugin 2010.0 on Ubuntu 10.10/netbook.

As I'm using a pretty low powered box for photography in travel, I was asking myself if there was a way to queue job and batch treatment ?

For example, you create a project, add image and batch alignment task. For project which are aligned and corrected, you queue the panorama creation. It allows to treat multiple project in one night or one day while doing something else.

If it is not possible, it would be a good addition.

Thanks a lot for your really good work and happy new year.
Best regards,

Julien

Note: as a minor extra question, someone knows is there is some hugin-digikam plugin ?

On Windows and OS X I've got a "Save project and send to batch" buttin in the Stitcher tab, which does exactly this: Sending the project to the Batch Processor: http://cl.ly/3qYR

Maybe you need to install it separately for Ubuntu/netbook?

After a few more tests, there is one thing which is not possible to batch: alignment.
I didn't manage to get alignment in batch and if I queue a new project, I get a pano with a single image.

Is it possible to batch alignment and if there was no errors, generate a first pano ?

Thanks

Another point, it seems batch easily stops on error or warning message whereas It would be more logical to log them and process next job.
(For me, it's a traveller problem: I try to queue jobs to execute during night and avoid processing when I use my computer in daytime)
