Changes since 2009.2.0

The last release in September, but we have a backlog of new features
ready to go. So keeping with the intention of tracking development
better with more frequent releases, Hugin now brings you two major
new features as well as the usual bugfixes and incremental
improvements:

Automatic lens calibration

Hugin is already a great tool for calibrating lenses; by stitching a
panorama Hugin will automatically calculate barrel distortion,
vignetting and angle of view for any lens. Plus there is everything
a power user might want: different lenses can be calibrated in a
single project, fisheyes and shift...

Changes since 0.8.0

The last release in July 2009 introduced several major new features, but took a long time to arrive. This release follows quickly with the intention of tracking development better with more frequent releases, even so we still have some great new features and smaller improvements:
Hardware accelerated stitching

Hugin ships with nona for reprojecting and distorting photos. Nona will use multiple processors in parallel on a 'multi-core' system, but now it can use the GPU of your graphics hardware instead - Potentially many times faster and freeing your computer for other tasks. This GPU accelerated stitching is still experimental and requires a modern graphics card.

Hugin is a panorama stitcher and more.
Changes since 0.7.0

The last release in October 2008 introduced major changes to the way Hugin worked. Although this new release looks and feels much the same as 0.7.0, it adds some great new features and makes a lot of small improvements:
Fast Preview window

A new Fast Preview window has been added, this uses OpenGL graphics acceleration to show changes as they happen. You can drag photos around the window and they will warp to their new positions in real-time. Everything else you need to turn, pan and crop your panorama can now be done interactively in the Fast Preview.

Hugin has changed enormously in the two years since the 0.6.1 release, hardly any part of the code has remained untouched. There have been many many bug-fixes, improvements to the interface and lots of new features - Here are just some of them:
Online help

Hugin now has comprehensive help documentation for the entire user interface, the manual now includes glossary items explaining many panorama stitching and related photography concepts.
Languages

New translations include Slovak, Korean, Bulgarian and Spanish. This means that Hugin is now usable with a total of twenty languages.
New Assistant panel

Creating simple panoramas is much easier, Hugin now starts showing an Assistant with a simple 1-2-3 ...

hugin 0.6.1 is mainly a bugfix release, especially for Intel OS X users. New features include support for displaying HDR images in control point editor and panorama preview.

Currently, source code and windows binaries are available. Mac OS X binaries
should be available on Monday.

Hugin version 0.6, a set of tools for panoramic imaging, has been released. Functions for the correction of vignetting and chromatic abberations have been added and multithreaded operation improves the performance on multicore/CPU machines.

This is the first stable release of hugin.
