Receiving error: specified ColorSpace is not supported

Asked by joequavis

I just finished installing hplip for Linux Mint 7. I have a wired-network attached HP Photosmart Premium printer. I can print with the "black only grayscale" and the "high quality grayscale" options, but not color. When I try to print with the color option, I receive the error: specified ColorSpace is not supported.

I can print with the "color" option to this printer without issue from my other computer which has OpenSUSE 11.1 installed (same HPLIP version - 3.9.10).

Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!

This looks like a duplicate of bug #294671
1) Update cups and check if it resolves the issue.
If not please try the workaround mentioned in bug #294671
