Print has superimposed pattern

Asked by Ian Sinclair

Printing from Ubuntu 9.04 (9.10 has too many problems to be useable). Prints are not coming out with a superimposed grid pattern. This happens printing directly from HPLIP or using F-spot manager. Using Photoprint, there is no output (the print queue correctly shows HP Color laser 2600n, but the printer type and model is shown as Epson Inkjet, and altering this to HP 2500 has no effect - there is no option for 2600n).

Can you post the result of "hp-check -t"

The latest version of HPLIP is available at http://hplipopensource.com.

Thanks, Mubeen. I solved the problem by completely removing HPLIP and re-installing. Somehow, it looks as if some files had survived the process of replacing Ubuntu 9.10 by 9.04.
