Modify CD Printable Area

Asked by nikitakit

I'm helping out with a scientific project that is using a d5460 printer to print on a glass slide. The slide is put in the cd tray and
the printer does it's job --- but the center of what is supposed to be the cd is an unprintable region. Is there any way I can modify the printer's configurations to change the printable area?

Hello,

Which Linux distro you are using? I would also like to inform you that HPLIP 3.9.10 has also been released. You can download and install the same from:
http://hplipopensource.com

If you have access to the ppd files (you will need root access), you can set your margins for printable area through ppd. There is a similar query regarding printable areas at:
https://answers.launchpad.net/hplip/+question/81565

You can refer to the same for the solution.

Thank you for contacting HPLIP.

When was gathering information with printing on CD/DVD, I found the following thin: in my printer/properties/advanced are two medias listed. See the picture on my server.

Is this the same with your printer? (which is the same as mine)
