printer will not print, fax or copy

we changed the print cartridges, and it went through all its process of cleaning the heads etc, and it will not print fax or copy. It just makes a black streak down one corner of the paper

the printer cleaned heads and aligned the printer, and it now says the alignment failed.

It may be an issue with the hardware. Is it possible to test the printer with Windows. In case it doesn't work, please contact HP Total Care from http://www.hp.com.
