Are you looking for support for the HP Photosmart 8200 series printer?

http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/photosmart/photosmart_8200_series.html

This printer has been supported for a long time. I believe the version of HPLIP that comes with Slack should support it.

We don't provide much support for Slackware because we do not test on it, however users have reported success with it.

Run hp-check -t and post the output.

Thanks.

No, I am looking for support of the ScanJet 8200 series, which includes the 8200, the 8250 and the 8270. The specific scanner of interest is the 8250, which has an ADF.

HPLIP does not support any ScanJet devices. ScanJet device support is provided by the Sane Project. For more information about the level of support for your device you can go here:

For any issues please contact the Sane Project for additional assistance.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Aaron, Thanks. Unfortunately the avision driver in sane does not handle the document feeder. Does anyone know if I might obtain those codes, or some documentation, so that I could modify the driver so my scanner would feed and handle error conditions?
Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The sane project or forums would be a good place to start.
