Printing first page of a job on letterhead

Asked by sneltom

Hi there

I was wondering if HPLIP/CUPS has the capability of selecting letterhead for the first page of a multi-page job, and plain paper for the rest. I have reviewed the documentation, googled etc but I can find virtually no reference to this. However, this is a feature that HP's Windows drivers support, albeit only the PCL version, not the PS.

Is this possible at all? I'm not very up with CUPS, programming or scripting, but I can learn - if I were able to help out, do you reckon that the best idea would be to investigate writing some sort of filter (foomatic or other)?

Thanks for your help.

Bruce,

CUPS (as far as I know) doesn't have this function. The PS is sent as one string and the paper size variable doesn't change page to page.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Aaron
