Can't scan multipage documents

Asked by Becca L.

I haven't been able to scan a multipage document using the automatic document feeder. In XSane, I select Multipage and ADF. When I scan, the first page seems to go through OK; it shows up in the multipage project window. But then scanning stops and the LCD on the printer returns to the message "Document loaded" with the second page fed partway.

Printer: HP M1522n
Linux: Ubuntu 9.04
HPLIP: 3.9.8

Thanks,
Becca

Becca,

I can reproduce this and am looking into a solution for a future release of HPLIP. Hopefully this will be fixed in the next release--although I can't give any promises. We are working on it.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

Aaron

I also have the same issue with my OfficeJet J4540's auto feeder, using HPLIP v3.9.12 on Kubuntu Karmic. Also, this version of HPLIP doesn't allow me to adjust the size of image to 8.5 x 11.00in before saving the file. I hope that this would also be fixed in a new version of HPLIP. Will wait to see.

Can you help with this problem?
