Actually--if you are trying to connect the printer to the access point the steps for how to do this are usually in the product manual. Although if you need some additional assistance you can contact HP Total Care from http://www.hp.com

If you are using linux let me know because there are additional steps, depending on the device.

That printer was bad. The ethernet connection did not light up. We took it back and got a replacement. I use windows. However, I loaded the program on two computers and connected through the ethernet through an access point. Unfortunately, the access point and the router do not have the same IP address. Now I can't get on the internet. I uninstalled the printer and tried to connect to the internet and still cannot connect. Fortunately my husband's computer never had the program loaded, so he can connect to the internet. Don't know how we will resolve this problem.

I will tell you this has been the most frustrating situation. First of all, everyone I talked to at HP told me I could only connect through the router and for this model in the manual it clearly says it can connect through several devices. When I got one with a working ethernet port, it found the IP but it was for the access device and not the router. Also, one of the people yesterday asked me if there were green lights at the ethernet, and I told that person no. Wouldn't that have been a clue that there was a problem? Had I not spent so much time on the phone yesterday with HP and realized there was a problem with the printer, I could have taken it back yesterday and replaced it and connected with my IT person to get help with configuring the router and the access point.

Do you have an answer on how to make my internet reconnect to my computer?
