According to
http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/models/laserjet/hp_laserjet_p2015dn_series.html
the HP LaserJet p2015dn Printer
needs only the minimum HPLIP version 1.6.10.

Therefore you should not need the newest HPLIP
but use HPLIP 2.8.4 which is included in openSUSE 11.0.

I do not understand at all why you actually need to go the hardest way
with self-compiling and installing the newest HPLIP version on your own?

Hi Kaka -

Viewing your log, I see that you ran the 3.9.8 auto-installer as root. Running the installer as root will cause a multitude of problems. Please run the installer as a regular user and let me know if you run into any problems, and I'll troubleshoot from there.

Thank you for supporting HPLIP.
