Hi Drew -

Are you using the Deskjet F4280? Can you run hp-check -t and post your results?

Just what it found results or everything? Here is the just what it found. If you want the full results let me know thanks. The printer works it just does not want to align the heads. It worked one time aligning the heads and has not worked since.

I ran this before and noticed a missing dependency. I see now I am missing a config file. Let me see what I can do about that and see what that does.

HP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.9.2)

Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

Drew -

It looks like you're running 3.9.2. After resolving the dependencies, were you able to align the pens? I'd suggest upgrading to HPLIP 3.9.8 for added functionality.

Thanks,
-Linus

It did not clear up the issue I will try the upgrade and let you know what happens.

We can reproduce this and are working on a resolution. This should be fixed in a future release of HPLIP--although I can't give you a specific time frame.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Aaron
