From the error "python: command not found" this would indicate that the Buffalo unit does not have the basic requirements to install/run HPLIP. The HPLIP automatic installer does not support installing on the Buffalo device so you can try to install HPLIP manually..however you will need to install python and other dependencies--you can look over this page here for some hints:

http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install/manual/distros/other.html

Because we don't have unit we wont be able to provide specific help on how to do this. Hopefully this will point you in the right direction.

Thanks for your support of HPLIP--we appreciate it.

Aaron
