HPLIP

I can not complete the HPLIP installation

My favorite computer is a System 76 laptop with Ubuntu 8.04 installed.

I have an HP PSC 1510 All-In-One printer connected to this machine.

At the end of the installation of hplip-3.9.6b, I get a warning that there is a missing dependency related to gcc, and the installation procedure ends. However, when I check the system the gcc compiler is installed.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Please run ./check.py -t in the hplip-3.9.6b directory and post the output.

After running check.py I got the following answer:

warning: CUPSEXT could not be loaded. Please check HPLIP installation.

This usually means that you have two version of python installed and HPLIP.
