I work for the DoD in developing security guidance for unix/linux systems. Currently, we are addressing CVE-2008-4419 for HP LaserJet Printers Directory Traversal Vulnerability. Is the HPLIP affected by this vulnerability?

It looks like this CVE is associated with the printer firmware and HPLIP (doesn't appear) to be effected directly.
