how to correct vertical lineson photos

I get vertical lines on the prints of photos. I have an officejetpro8500. it is brand new don.t know what to do

It sounds like you'll want to run the color calibration and alignment tools. If you are using windows this process should be in your printer manual.

If you are using linux you can run hp-toolbox and select the functions in the actions tab.
