psc 2510 url address doesn't work

Asked by Roscoe

i have just recently put a WEP on my wireless network.
now when i try to install my wireless computer it will not because it is not recognized. i realize i need to put in my WEP passphrase but i dont know exactly where. i read the manual and it told me to put pring the network configuration page and type its url address into the browser. the problem is this url doesn't work. anyone have any idea on how to make this ip address(url address) work in my browser or how to create another so i can get to the settings page for this printer?
any help would be much appreciated

You'll have to have the printer on the network before you'll be able to get to the printer in your browser. Generally it's best to start with a basic network configuration and make sure that works, and then turn on the wep encryption.

Although this process isn't supported by the HP Linux Imaging and Printing forum. Your printer documentation should be able to walk you through the process. If you require more specific help you can contact HP Total Care from http://www.hp.com and they should be able to help you further.

Thanks for your support of HPLIP--we appreciate it.
