We are working on a configuration tool that will allow the configuration of the wifi on this device. We are hoping to release it within the next several releases of HPLIP.

That mean, the current version of hplip can work with C4580 over Wireless but I have to config it manually or it is impossible to use wireless connection to C4580 wihtout your configuration tool?

Currently configuring the wireless on the Photosmart C4580 is not supported. Although you should be able to configure the wireless on a windows system and then run hp-setup to configure a network printer.

I like to configuring my c4580 in the network (fritzbox 7170 annex A) This modem supports 802.11 g+b. Who want to help me to install this printer in the network. The OS is ubuntu 8.04.
