after installation of printer (HP Officejet 6500-E709, my computer will not shut down.

After installing my new wireless printer, HP Officejet 6500-E709, my computer will not shut down. I've left it going for extended periods of time, and then have to use the power button to turn it off.

I thought I did not have enough memory, so I took my computer in and paid $150 for a tune-up. The computer techs said I had more than enough available memory! I picked up the computer yesterday evening and re-installed the computer software.

My computer did the same thing. It would not shut down. I had to shut it off with the power button.

What is the problem? How do I fix it?
