how to install hplip-3.16.7.run on Ubuntu Version 22.04.3 LTS?

I downloaded hplip-3.16.7.run for my HP Neverstop Laser 1001 nw. What do I have to do with it? Doubleclicking has no effect, do I have to copy it anywhere?

If you are running Ubuntu, then you better use the adapted package in the Ubuntu repositories instead of the *.run file.

Open a terminal window and issue the command

sudo apt install hplip hplip-gui
