To determine if the driver is compatible with a 32-bit or 64-bit system, check the specifications provided by the driver or on the official website. Usually, the driver download page or documentation will specify the supported system architectures. If it doesn't explicitly state, you can also look for separate download options labeled for 32-bit and 64-bit systems. Matching the driver version with your system's architecture ensures compatibility and optimal performance.

Because you are responding as if you do not know what site or driver I mean, even though the support link was on that site, here is the site/driver, if that helps:

https://www.openprinting.org/driver/hplip

1. The "answer" by Jhoney Bairstow most probably is just a fake text created by some kind of AI and should better be ignored.

2. This is the question/answer area for the HPILP software on https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing
The HPILP packages there contain both 32bit and 64bit drivers.

I do not know anything about the version on openprinting.org, but based on the selection possibilities on https://snapcraft.io/hplip-printer-app I assume that there is only a 64bit ("amd64") package available, and no 32bit version for Intel architecture ("i386").
