HP Deskjet 2700 needs reset?

Asked by hertfordkc2

I followed the Wireless Quick Start Guide and installed the HP Smart App. Then I went to my Ubuntu Laptop and printed a test. A day or so later and I noticed my wireless connection had failed. I tried to reconnect using my phone and got the Blue wireless light. Good????
Go to laptop and don't see the printer. Search and HP=Setup<1A_DeskJet 2700 appears. I believe it said DeskJet 2700 before.

Now what?
I don't see anything on my phone App to get past setup and a good HPLIP is installed on the laptop.
I doubt that it makes any difference, but I suspect the wireless link was lost due to a power failure rather than router signal interruption.

The HP Deskjet 2700 doesn't give a complete description of its state (Setup) and I finally resorted to the tried and true pull the plug and restarted the printer, Smartphone, and Laptop. Everything fell into place: the printer worked. I had expected to have to rerun the printer setup at a minimum.
Although I don't know why it didn't recover from the power failure by itself, I'll just go ahead and shut everything down and try an orderly restart if the printer disconnects again.
