Driverless Printing Question

Asked by Amanda Richards Brodeur

Hi. In order to set up report printers for Point of Sale system, where the OS is Linux, we were previously advised to use driverless printing. This was successful on the model in the lab store, HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw. However, customer has several HP models in their stores.

Are you able to please confirm that each of these models supports driverless printing with Linux OS?

HP LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M281cdw
HP LaserJet pro MFP M276nw
HP LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw
HP Laser Jet Pro 400 MFP M425dn
HP Envy 5055

Thank you,
Amanda Brodeur

Any printer that supports AirPrint also supports drverless
printing. See

  https://openprinting.github.io/printers/

Double check by looking at HP's specs for a printer (Mobile
printing capability).

Please mark as solved.
