it is supported by HPLIP in all versions starting from 3.10.4

the operating system is : Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS

There are some known problems when you try installing HPLIP from the installer kit downloaded from the HPLIP pages on Ubuntu systems.
I recommend using the adapted version that Ubuntu provides in its own repositories.

Open a terminal window and issue the command

sudo apt install hplip hplip-gui
