Network printer communication failure

Asked by Steven Artigas

Running Mint Mate 19.2. Local network includes HP Laserjet M1522nf multifunction printer. Just installed a replacement main circuit board due to damage to the LAN jack which is integral with that board. Installation successful, printer copies as before, but now shows IP address of 192.168.1.7 instead of actual LAN address of 192.168.1.4, so print, scan, and fax functions no longer work. The network connection seems good and the green pilot light next to the cable connection is lit. How can I restore the IP address in the printer to agree with the network?

Problem solved, ip addresses now match, communication re-established between computer and printer.
