Does HPLIP on CentOS 7 support HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e

Asked by Eugene Poole

After my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 failed due to printhead issues I purchased a HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e because I needed to print something critical (in other words I did not check Linux compatibility prior to purchase).
So after I installed to new software on my Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines, I then started looking for some documentation on my new printer and CentOS 7 Linux and I couldn't find anything except the printer was not on the 'Unsupported' list.

After my HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 failed due to printhead issues I purchased a HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e and HP OfficeJet Pro 8022 because I needed to print something critical (in other words I did not check Linux compatibility prior to purchase).
So after I installed to new software on my Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines, I then started looking for some documentation on my new printer and CentOS 7 Linux and I couldn't find anything except the printer was not on the 'Unsupported' list.

I'm still having issues due to the manual install only references CentOS 5 and CentOS 6. With Centos 7 being out for as long as it has one would think and updated manual installation document would be available.

I'm starting to understand why all of the hundreds on linux servers at work all printing goes through windows print servers.
Can a windows print server be setup through standard windows 7, 10, 11?
