HPLIP

Printing is not working on RHEL -8 with HP ink tank 416 model. I installed the hplip driver with the instructions and did the setup. The error I get is avahi-utils optional package missing. This package is not available for rhel -8 and is also option

I have installed hplip driver from the HP site and tried to setup the printer. Printer is setup but when I click on print it says printer is printing but the job shows warning sign and doesnt print.

The only error I see is below on running hp-check. This package is not available in RHEL-8
error: avahi-utils avahi-utils OPTIONAL - - MISSING 'avahi-utils needs to be installed'

Also this is a optional package then how it can cause error. I am clueless, please help me.

I am not a RHEL user.

Is this a USB connection? What are the CUPS and cups-filters versions?
Are ipp-usb and sane-airscan available as packages?

Hi Brian,
Thanks for your quick reply. Below are the cups and sane packages. I solved the issue. The problem was SE-linux was enabled which was not allowing the printer to send data. After disabling it the printer is working fine.
