Xsane not work

Hi, i install HPLIP 3.21.8. I have Hp LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw (wireless connection). After the installation printer works but not the scanner. The computer detects the scanner but xsane or simplescan require the plugin to be installed. Through automatic download (web) it does not work and does not allow to manually install the plugin. How can I solve? Thanks
