HP printer issue (DeskJet 3700) on Linux Lite (ergo Ubuntu)

Trying to use the printer (HP DeskJet Ink Advanage 3775) on my old Acer Aspire 5315 with Linux Lite 5.2 distro (ergo Ubuntu).
Printer (and included scanner also) does not work properly.
I have installed hplip-gui via terminal.
I also tried to install the latest ver. of hplip 3.21.2 via terminal downloaded from >https://sourceforge.net/projects/hplip/files/hplip/3.21.2/hplip-3.21.2.run/download?use_mirror=nchc<. The process in terminal stucked in this phase:

RUNNING HPLIP LIBS COMMANDS

OS software (settings dialog windows) and HPLIP Status service "see" the printer, but if I try to print test page, it "says" 'printer not connected'. Scanner says similar...

This is a non-HPLIP technique.

The driverless command tells you that a URI is

  ipp://HP%20DeskJet%203700%20series%20%5B766F51%5D._ipp._tcp.local/

You *substitute* this for URI in this command:

  lpadmin -p PRINTQ_NAME -v "URI" -E -m everywhere

PRINTQ_NAME can be what you want e.g deskjet3775. Now test with

  lp -d PRINTQ_NAME /etc/nsswitch.conf

Substituting for PRINTQ_NAME, of course.

If you want scanning, please give

  scanimage -L
