Note: hp-check can be run in three modes:
1. Compile-time check mode (-c or --compile): Use this mode before compiling the
HPLIP supplied tarball (.tar.gz or .run) to determine if the proper dependencies
are installed to successfully compile HPLIP.
2. Run-time check mode (-r or --run): Use this mode to determine if a distro
supplied package (.deb, .rpm, etc) or an already built HPLIP supplied tarball
has the proper dependencies installed to successfully run.
3. Both compile- and run-time check mode (-b or --both) (Default): This mode
will check both of the above cases (both compile- and run-time dependencies).

Check types:
a. EXTERNALDEP - External Dependencies
b. GENERALDEP - General Dependencies (required both at compile and run time)
c. COMPILEDEP - Compile time Dependencies
d. [All are run-time checks]

Done.
euclides@euclides-HP-350-G1:~$ hplip setup

4. I cannot install the printer, though I downloaded and installed the required Driver.. hplip does not want to install it because it says it is not supported, but the instruction manual says it is. What can I do? Give it back?

5. 1 I downloaded and installed the driver for UBUNTU ( from your homepage)
2 I ran hplip to identify and install the printer ( I have already done it before)
3 hplip does not recognise the device. It says " No Devices Found"
4 I ran hp-check and it says this device is not supported.. Is there a way to install it without using WINE? Of course I could install it using WINE but I want to do it using UBUNTU as I have always done so far

Thank You Very Much for your Help!!

Your device is not supported by HPLIP. See

  https://wiki.debian.org/CUPSPrintQueues#uld

You are also using an unsupported, out-of-date version of Ubuntu. Therefore,
it is not possible to use a more modern method to get you printing. Come
back if you upgrade your machine.
